Broken Acer laptop charger?

My 2nd Acer warhorse stop working, even though it was practical yesterday the red buoyant wont labour that tells you its charging its not charging on my laptop and buying another ane is not an option! Please help my mom just bought it 2 months ago on ebay for £40 and she shall be so mad if i tell her its broken. I'm not active to use it for a while so now its in my laptop bag. Does anyone have any ideas please help!
