How to disenable elantech mouse from eee pc?

Okay, we're going to look in the windows 7 device manger for your pointing device you want to disable.

To get into the Windows 7 device manager, open up the start menu (Lower left corner).

Now in the search field at the lower left of that type "device manager" and press enter.

That should popup your windows device manager, a box filled with a bunch of hardware stuff with drop-down menus to the left of them.

From this menu you can disable the drivers of unwanted hardware very easily.

Hence, find the field labelled, "mice and other pointing devices" (or whatever is applicable) then click the drop down arrow to the left of that to open the field.

Look in there for whichever device you think is the eee PC mouse. Your other mouse will probably be labeled "HID-compliant mouse," but it could be more specific. You may need to use trial and error on this next part.

Right click whichever device you think is the right one and click "disable" to disable it. Then you can re-enable it the same way.

If you accidentally disable the incorrect one DO NOT PANIC.

The device manger should still metal open, with your selection selected, so just usage your cursor keys to arrow hair to the option you disabled and press enter, then pay out the tab key on your keyboard to move the box around in that menu to the tabs at the top, then arrow over to 'driver.'

Quondam again using the tab switch on your keyboard move down to the 'enable' button and press enter, to re-enable your mouse.

If your keyboard has a context menu button you can do it even faster, but laptops might not have that. It's the key next to the right windows key between, the authority windows key and the ctrl key. That does the same thing as right click to highlighted items.
