Should i buy a gaming PC or a LAPTOP?

My budget is $1000. I want a laptop with at least 8gb ram. I not a big computer gamer. I just want graphics card that can play Arma II, GTA IV, and Minecraft and maybe some racing simulators.I do not plan on playing very demanding games like battlefield 3 or call of duty. I need some suggestions on what should I buy and what brand is best for the money with the quality.
