I have a macbook pro from 2009 (Sept) that recently has had problems with it's keyboard not working. It is a partial failure as seen in the video. Most of the function based keys around the outside work but not the inner keys and not capslock and return. I've just had the keyboard and logic board replaced which did not solve the problem. The assumption is that it's a firmware or software problem (but not hardware). OS X 10.6.8 There are third party keyboard utils installed.
