Inverter takes a low voltage from your battery and makes a high voltage (like 800 to 2000!) to light up the little fluorescent tube that illuminates the surface from the wager on.
The inverter might not be bad. The fluorescent duct may have broken. It is tough to tell which is broken without dandy diagnosis.
The inverter is a divided assembly and relatively easy and run down cost to replace.
The fluorescent channel is portion of the LCD screen and is mind boggingly expensive to replace.
