HELLPP!?!?! laptop warhorse?
it sounds like the problem is definitely in the plug on the laptop, which can be repaired, but is fairly expensive since it will require a repair person to take apart the laptop to get the motherboard out, and re-solder the connections for the power plug. the other option is to replace the undamaged motherboard, which might end up one cheaper. you can look on ebay for used motherboards, and your manufacturers website should give documentation against how to replace the motherboard.
