Where can I get a replacement laptop charger all for cheap?

My Toshiba Satellite A305's charger is defunct and I need to replace it. I went to Best Buy and they are charging around $100 which is ridiculous. I found some chargers on eBay that are less than $10. I check the input, output, amps, etc and they all match up. Is it safe to get cardinal of these or will I risk frying my laptop's battery?
