Detach top of my laptop to create a computer?

Removing a DC jack from a laptop computer can be accomplished in about an hr. Occasionally, the solder joint holding the jack to the motherboard cracks or wears out, breaking the connection. When this occurs, you must remove the DC jack to repair the damaged part. Remove the jack yourself to save the time and expense of calling a computer technician.

1. Unplug the computer's pressure cord from the electrical outlet. Remove the power supply cord from the rear of the laptop.

2. Extract the battery pack from the back of the laptop by lifting it retired. Locate the cover at the top of the keyboard and slide a flat-head screwdriver underneath one side of it.

3. Detach and remove the keyboard cover. Untie the two screws underneath the screen with a Phillips screwdriver and remove them.

4. Take the keyboard retired of the laptop. Flip it over and place it on the palm nap. Detach the wire connected to the keyboard and move away the keyboard aside.

5. Turn the laptop over. Remove the screws from the rear legs of the computer and put them in a safe place. Remove the cover plates and and fix them aside.

6. Detach the video-cable connexion from the motherboard. Unplug the wireless card aerial telegram. Turn the laptop over and locate the eight screws on the front bezel of the display under the rubber seals.

7. Remove the screws next to the front bezel and separate the bezel from the display. Set the bezel out of the way. Unfasten the four screws on the sides of the display panel.

8. Remove the LED display screen from the cover. Unfasten the picture telegram from the rear legs of the screen. Unplug the cable from the inverter board and set the blind aside.

9. Twirl the laptop over so the bottom is Detach the heat-sink fan from the high right side with unfastening the 4 screws holding it in place and lifting it retired.

11. Set the laptop right-side up. Unfasten the screws holding the top wad to the case. Lift the pad out of the computer and unfasten the five screws holding the motherboard in place.

12. Detach the speaker cable from the motherboard and remove the motherboard. Locate the DC jack on the motherboard and use a soldering iron to soften the solder connecting the jack to the motherboard.

13. Remove the D.C. jack from the motherboard once the alloy is flaccid enough all for it to be separate.
