How do I fix a broken laptop joint?

Hello,

I mortal a HP G7000 notebook and the left hinge has broken. It has become stiff so that the plasticky bit around the keyboard (!) is nowadays lifting when I open the lid.

After one googling, I found that it could be that screws are missing but they all seem to be within place.

Does anybody cognise if location is anything I can do myself? An
