How do you fix an SD memory card that states there's AN error with the card?

Take no more pics until you've healed the photos, take the card retired of the camera. Here's several freeware picture recovery software that should be what you are sounding for:

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. Provided you dont have cardinal, get one, they're very inexpensive:

AFTER you've recovered the photos, format the card within your camera. This should help rejuvenate it to working condition. Keep in heed formatting will also totally erase your card, so again only do this after you've recovered the pictures.
