Why is my laptop screen white?

I bought this Entree laptop a weensy over two years ago. About six months ago the screen would turn white as I turned it on, and I would have to adjust the space of the screen to turn the screen back to normal. But now it has the white blind almost constantly and to get the normal screen I need to apply a constant pressure to the bottom chunk of the screen, which is pesky once I'm trying to type.

To better explain the white screen suppose a TV with static and then take the grey/black part of the static and replace it beside the regular screen. The albescent lines are straight decussate the eyeshade, and the ratio of white to the actual screen is about 75% white.

I'm pretty sure this issue has thing to do with the screen because when I plug the laptop into a separate monitor there is no flickering. I don't know if this would impact anything just I usually use my laptop lacking the battery, having it plugged all told the clip.

If anyone can figure out what the problem is, how to repair it or how much its going to cost / if the repair is charge it, any help would be appreciated.
