αποσυνδεθεί / επανασυνδεθεί το πληκτρολόγιο σε ένα φορητό υπολογιστή, τώρα το πληκτρολόγιο δεν θα λειτουργήσει. 10;

I have an averatec 3700 laptop, and I took it apart because there was a virus on it and I wiped windows xp from it, but then I was unable to access the hard drive to reinstall windows xp or do anything else. After I took it apart and put it back together it would not turn on, but I discovered later that there is a small ribbon cable that connects at one end to the power button and at the other end to the motherboard. This cable was apparently detached at one end, and when I reattached it I found that the laptop would turn on lone if I touched the ribbon cable at the point where it attached to the motherboard. Likewise it would only turn off if I either moved the ribbon cable or unplugged the adapter (it would not turn on or off via the sway button). Anyhow I also had to remove the keyboard to access the interior, but I am sure I put the keyboard hindmost exactly like it was with the ribbon cable securely in situ . Nonetheless when I get the laptop to turn on by touching the motherboard cable, the keyboard still does not work on it. Any ideas why the keyboard may not be working? Did I perhaps plug it in wrong or how do I know if it is plugged in right/what should I be looking for? 10 points. Thanks.
