laptop charger blew up.turned laptop off.had overladen battery.think i could turn it connected now?

Need better description of the problem (blew up).
Did it just quit working, short out, was the thigh top by at time of failure ?
You can try to turn it on and metal ready to turn it off provided it shows any sign of problem.
