are you sure it stopped working? it might own been in whatever power-saving mode. some fans globule speed when they are not needed (you aren't doing much beyond browsing the web) and kick on when you do thing artwork or processing intensive, like playing games OR music piece browsing.
they have the ability to procure so quiet you don't even hear them!
when you hear it bend off again, take a good LOOK At it, and be sure of what you think is happening...
