Laptop Charger - Light only flashes on?

I have seen snags next to the changer cord, more specifically the built in AC/DC convertor box (dark pack with a color LED, located between the female and Antheral end of the last word cord) this box takes the hit from any AC power spikes and sags coming from your power outlets, just like a PC power hand over. So if you (or pervious landowner) have had any Thunder storms OR Grimy power in their house the mortal may soul been on its last leg once it got to you.
