laptop blind has departed shaky and yellow!?!?

it could be the back light in the lcd screen. when that goes bad it will be too obscurity to read. you have to take the screen apart to replace it. unfortunately, i have ne`er done this,as i always send them out to the manufacturer to be replaced. As for the yellow condition, i haven't got a clue, could be the brightness is upset all the way up to try to compensate for the bad back light?
