Laptop screen is blank, can I not pocket it to the repair store?

Sup, laptop was working fine yesterday, I turn it on nowadays, was retired of battery so I plug it in, turn it on top of and the screen lights up but the toshiba logo doesnt appear. Mortal aid, I don't privation to pass anymore cash on top of this thing, it's a toshiba satellite a505-s6025. All answers are really appreciated, thanks guys.
