However can I hook up a laptop to another blind, once the laptop screen does not pursue?

Our laptop screen does not work. It's completely broken (it IS broken, not just off or thing). The existent computer does work however. I have an HDMI rope, and the laptop has a HDMI output cavum. I have proven just plugging it in, but I think I need to change the output from the laptop. However can I brawl this? It's Windows 7.
