My Laptop screen has become pixelated?

I have taken the hard drive out expecting it to give me the letter "no hard drive found" but instead the screen is still bad. I thought the question might be with the graphics card but the blind is still bad when i start up without the hard drive. I now have a terrible reaction the blind itself has gone. Any planning ? ?
