How to dig up a Y510 laptop keyboard?

Keyboards are generally not too hard to remove. I found a site with a few pictures that might help (1)

Whether you use any liquids for cleansing a keyboard, effort to use isopropyl alcohol or warm distilled water since when these evaporate, they don't leave much matter. Evaporating becomes the issue though. After you remove the keyboard look carefully and think about where the water will seep into and how well it would dry retired. The only trouble with laptop keyboards is that if liquid gets in between thin plastic layers, it won't dry hugely well, so you shall have to guarantee to take off any such plastic blanket (on the back of the keyboard, usually) before you soak the corner of the keyboard. Note many will advise against submersing any electronic devices within liquid, and for good reason, since it might not work well any more if it doesn't dry completely before re-installation. Use this method as a closing resort, I would say.

If you have trouble finding a replacement, another site (2) suggested a thinkpad keyboard seemed to fit and activity nearly the said as the ideapad upright he was exchange.

Good fate.
