Im using larger monitor stale my laptop but when I friendly the laptop, it turns off.?

If you go in your computers power settings (control panel/power options) you should have the ability to change what happens once you close your screen. I'm not on my laptop and do not remember the explicit wording but its something like "action taken when laptop surface is closed" you can set to "do nothing".
