Need to delete hidden Acer recovery partition?

You really do not want to delete the hidden recovery partition. If you insist on doing this, you must make a CD/DVD backup of your operating system. You can make the backup using Acer's backup software.
Why don't you install Ubuntu to the third partition? It will still dual boot even with the reinstall partition intact.
