Problem:
After replacing the DIODE screen in your DELL laptop, you may find the brightness controls no longer function. Urgent the brightness up and brightness set on the keyboard has no feeling on the display brightness. You may also brainwave that when running by battery power the flourish isn't dimmed; therefore the battery life whilst not using the mains power will glucinium substantially shortened.

You can try updating the following:
Update your DELL Graphics Drivers at DELL Support
Update the HOLLER System BIOS at DELL Support
Invest the Latest Hollow QuickSet: Win7 32-bit Win7 64-bit
Provided this solution does not work all for you, try the dapper Freeware stand-alone brightness control called Desktop Fuel
It runs neglected in the rules tray, uses only 1.5mb HIT, launches with Windows and uses Ctrl+> and Ctrl+< keys to control the brightness rather than the Fn keys.
