Why laptop's screen is black?

You might of answered the question yourself. Clearly the laptop works fine as you're able to run off an outside salute. I believe that either you've a loose cable that connects the LCD screen to the laptop motherboard. Or, the LCD eyeshade is dead. If you cognise how to, you can get access to that cable by removing the keyboard. Otherwise I'm afraid you'll have to take it into the shop.
