its precise practical 1 of the wires in the cord is worn somewhere, if thats the case their is a reasonable chance its right past the connector, Whether youre good at stripping wires and soldering them back into the connector. Provided you do it right (which is not easy to do), it may sweat. If it doesn't your stuck buying a adaptor.
Your much better off payment $25 and buying a new charger. (cheaper if you buy a used one off ebay)
p.s. Universal adaptors dont work at dell's (they power conscious once plugged in but dont blame the mobile)
