hollow inspiron 1525 hinges bust?

i've had the laptop for ~14 months now & the warranty is up. 1 night once i was closing the eyelid the outermost right joint cracked & broke. now the right side of the screen is perverse, the lid doesn't close precisely & is hard to unscrew and close. i someone never dropped the laptop OR abused it. any recommendations? ISCHAEMIA.
