the fan on my laptop will not cut ?

i have a hp pavillion dv9830us

bioshock 2 wasn't running well.

i updated the video operator connected the nvidia geforce 8600m gs closing week

now bioshock runs great but the fan won't turn off on the video card.

even when it is just idleing or web surfing

im concerned about the life of the laptop with the fan next to all the incident

LOL... just the fan turned off.

any support?
