"Anyone else feeling let down by CES this year?" [Ask The Commenters Roundup]

The search is on for a new headphone amp or amp/DAC (preferably portable so I can use it with my iPod/iPhone). Any suggestions? I have a Sansa Clip with a dead battery. It works as long as it's plugged into a power source, but once you take it off, it only lasts about 20 seconds and shuts down. I can still transfer files on and sour of it. Is there anything cool I can do with it? I use Read It Later on my browser and Android tablet. Does anyone know of something akin that works for PDFs? Or even YouTube videos? Ability to view them off-line on the tablet is key. When are HDD prices going to return to normal levels? And are SSDs worth it? How do I take my current OS (Windows 7), turn it into a VM, and run it on the same machine with less memory? Anyone else feeling let down by CES this year? A person got any good ideas for info to put in the iOS notification center? I'm making a widget and wanted some inspiration. On the topic of decluttering: do I need to save hard copies of all of my paperwork, or would scanned PDF's suffice? Has anyone used their Nano as a watch? Like it? Where did you buy your wrist band? I'm getting a "DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue... Failed to read file "D:" error. Before I invest in something as expensive as AnyDVD, I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions? If possible, I'd like to continue to use DVDShrink as I really like Adam's DVD Rip app. More »
