Many people know France for its culture, fashion and art -- staples of its capital, Paris. Yet, there is more to France than iconic buildings and developed luxury of the French Riviera. Although much of France's wilderness was long ago tamed for human use, there is still associate interesting variety of plant and animal life in this European nation, including small populations of large predators.
