How to disable a laptop keyboard, but still have in expend a USB keyboard?

I spilled milk on my laptop's keyboard months earlier and now it's acting up by writing by chance by itself. I thought buying an outer device would work out this but the computer simply responds to both keyboards, including the faulty internal one!! BACKING!
