Upgrading my Macbook to Cat

I have a 13" Macbook, bought in late 2006 which is still running Mortal.

 

I have been looking into options for upgrading the OS all for a while now. I have Snow Leopard running on another Macintosh, so have the disc, only found that I could not side from Tiger > SL short first installing Leopard. Now that the release of Lion is imminent, I am wondering what is the best way to upgrade?

 

Certainly I don't need to raise from Tiger > Leopard, past from Leopard > Snow Leopard righteous hence that I can install Lion from the Macintosh App Store?
