Laptop Charger overheats only when laptop is on?

the warhorse is not all over heating. You are putting a huge strain on it as it is trying to both charge the battery (which is being drained at the same time by the pc as you're using it) and supply power to the pc at duplicate time. try taking the battery out and use the charger thereon .. the temp will go lint. You enjoy to remember the chargers generally output 60 to 90 poet.. overmuch of that is wasted as heat. try holding a 100 watt bulb while its on. Self idea applies. the light emights heat due to the resistive humour of the element.. changing one manner of power into another. Chargers do the same.. they're converting 120 volts to about 19 volts. the more draw you repeat them the harder they work and the more heat they generate
