Vista.............. I'm rueful. That's a pretty old system, i was going to suggest maybe screen or inverter but it's most likely in the computer itself, maybe the motherboard or graphics adapter, i'd hate to see you throw biddable money after bad so plan on putting any repair money aside and good for a recent scheme, office depot OR staples ever has killer income, you can choice up nice laptop for less then $350
