First, try removing the battery from the laptop and put it back in. Sometimes this can clean up a some corrosion on the contact points and permit the battery to charge again. Not a guaranteed fix, but charge trying.
If that does not activity, buy a new battery.
Batteries are perishable, so over clip they lose their ability to hold a charge. Especially when they carry too hot.
