Global power adapters OR off brand power adapters may not work on Dell because Dell laptops are picky and won't work with thing other than Dell chargers. You need to jump to a computer shop that will allow you to test the charger before you buy.
edit: Also, I assume you are buying this charger because your ripened one wouldn't charge. It may be your laptop's port, which is another reason to attempt before you buy.
