Can a usb drive replace a DVD actuation on a laptop?

I americium assuming past USB drive that you mean a external DVD drive you are connecting to your USB port. Go to devise manager and watch the internal DVD drive and drivers, you can install the drivers from a recovery COMPACT DISC, the maker of the DVD thrust, the manufacturer of your lap top. Also attend my personal and correct click against VIDEODISC drive and make sure its enabled.
