more than likely the connector tip all for the warhorse is damaged and no more fits into the laptop. its sort of like using a damaged key for a lock, it wont work anymore. you should look into replacing the charger and getting a new one as in a bit as thinkable. if you fetch up looking for one online i would personally advocate you call in topmicrousa they are very reliable and have yet to disappoint.
