i have a fan breakdown in my brothers laptop?

Any the fan is not spinning properly due to dust within it or between it and the heatsink nearby is a thin film of dust that stops the air getting to the heat washbasin.
Once CPU's catch hot the computer has a save its butt heat sensing diode under the MAINFRAME that turns off the computer.
I's suggest you open the computer ANS look-see if the fan is spinning. Sometimes dust collects on the fan housing between the edge of the fans blades and the wall of the fan. It cards it from moving. The CPU gets hot. Freezes??? can cause, most likely fry the CPU
