Laptop charger goes out whenever I plug it into the laptop & it still doesn't come on.?

I tried to switch on my laptop and when it wouldn't surface , I figured the artillery was dead, so I plugged the charger into the wall then to the computer. Well, the light on the charger was green until i put in in the laptop. When I plugged it in, the light next to the warhorse immediately went off. I thought it was a socket ill, but aft trying different sockets, I discovered that it has to Be the personal. It was fine the night before and nothing spilled on it. So, the comptuter won't come out and when I try to plug the charger into the rear legs, the light blinks off on the charger and the computer won't come by At all.
